♪  Playing piano releases dopamine and serotonin, improving mood and emotional balance.

Playing the piano initiates the discharge of dopamine (connected with contentment and reward) and serotonin (connected with mood stabilization).

This neurochemical response contributes to enhancing mood, decreasing anxiety, lowering cortisol, and increasing emotional resilience over time.

A randomized controlled clinical trial in 2013 found that six months of piano lessons in older adults produced considerable mood enhancement and lowered anxiety in comparison to a control group.

Singing and Piano lessons are offered in Nanoose Bay, serving Parksville, Nanaimo, Qualicum Beach, and Ladysmith areas in BC.
